Observations1. Body division
1. The cephalothorax(fusion of head and thorax)
2. The six segmented abdomen. They have a pair of stalked eyes, two(2) antennae, a jaw(mandibles) and two pairs of maxillae
Number of segment appendages
- the abdomen have 6 segments and the first 5(of which are known) segments each bears a pain of swimmeretes while the 6th segment bears uropods
Antennae
-the hairlike structure various parts of the body
Body Covering(exoskeleton)
-are shed when animals grow larger; To allow them to grow larger
-is made of lime or calcium carbonate
2. Respiration- respiratory organs differ water arthropods have trachea
Digestion
-digestive organs consist of mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestine(end of anus)
Sensation
-are stalk and compound eyes, the stratocyst, the equilibrium and the hairlike structures on various body parts
Circulation
-consist of a muscular heart

3. -have a flat body. The whole body is covered with a hard carapace. The abdomen is just a small part (lying flat against the muscular cephalothorax)
Applications1. By t6he use of exoskeleton; It is used by the crustaceans to grow in size
2. They are known as piachers
-It can be profit to us
3. -The crustaceans can be eat by man
4. -They have jointed legs or appendages . It is the most numerous among the phyla of animals. about 3/4 (75%) of all known animals are arthropods.
-It is the largest phylum in animal kingdom
